BARBARESCO DOCG „RONCAGLIE“ 2021 – PODERI COLLA

Barbaresco Roncaglie is the most authentic expression of one of the denomination's most prestigious historical crus. Located in an area that has always been recognized by peasant tradition as among the most suitable for Barbaresco production, the Roncaglie vineyard yields perfectly balanced grapes, capable of translating into wine the elegance, harmony, and depth that make this Nebbiolo unique.

The vines, planted between 1970 and 2010, are rooted in an extraordinary terroir and are cultivated with artisanal care. Harvesting is manual, followed by careful vinification: destemming, crushing, and long maceration of 12-15 days at controlled temperature. After malolactic fermentation is completed before winter, the wine ages for 12-14 months in large Slavonian oak barrels.

To the eye, it presents an intense garnet red. The nose is broad and exuberant, with aromas of ripe blackberry, spices, undergrowth, wild rose, and violet. In the mouth, it is enveloping and rich, with velvety tannins and extraordinary persistence. Its impeccable balance and great aging potential make it a "classic" Barbaresco with an unmistakable character.

Perfect with red meats, feathered game, and substantial dishes, it is a meditation wine that expresses the nobility of the Roncaglie cru with finesse and depth.
