The Barolo 2017 produced by the Brovia winery represents a wine of rare quality originating in Piedmont, constituting one of the most fascinating traditional interpretations of the wines of the Langhe. Its creation derives from a meticulous commitment both in the vineyards and in the cellar, in which modern methodologies converge, while remaining faithful to traditional procedures. The Barolo di Brovia comes from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, harvested from vineyards scattered in various areas belonging to the estate. These grapes undergo a careful selection and undergo a long maceration on the skins, followed by a spontaneous fermentation, the completion of the malolactic fermentation and a subsequent refinement of 24 months in large Slavonian oak barrels.
The ruby red hue, typical of Nebbiolo, is not excessively intense. On the nose, it opens with a complex bouquet in which notes of cherry, dried red flowers and spices emerge, nuanced by earthy hints and toasted touches of coffee and tobacco. In the mouth, there is a balance between structure, freshness and tannins, demonstrating a remarkable elegance which will reach its harmonious peak after a period of ageing.
