Champagne Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru called "L'Amateur" from the renowned cellar of David Léclapart. This exceptional Champagne is produced in Trépail, a town located in the southeastern district of the Montagne de Reims, in the prestigious French region of Champagne-Ardenne.

The elaboration of this Champagne is entrusted exclusively to the Chardonnay grape, coming from five top quality vineyards located in Trépail. The vines are grown in a position facing south and south-east, on hills characterized by calcareous soils rich in chalk. David Léclapart's winery is a small but fascinating reality, which owns about 3 hectares of vineyards and is personally managed by David Léclapart himself, a creative, non-conformist winemaker and one of the forerunners of biodynamic viticulture in the region.

"L'Amateur" Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru by David Léclapart stands out for its authenticity. Unlike many other Champagnes, this wine is not the result of blending different vintages, but is obtained from a single harvest. The idea behind this choice is that the climate of each vintage can influence the wine in a unique way, giving it exclusive characteristics.

The grapes are selected with great care and harvested manually when they are perfectly ripe. After being taken to the cellar, they undergo traditional pressing and static clarification. The alcoholic fermentation takes place using only indigenous yeasts in stainless steel containers for a few weeks. Malolactic fermentation follows, after which the wine is bottled with the addition of the "liqueur de tirage" to favor the second fermentation and refermentation in the bottle with its own yeasts, a process that lasts at least 24 months. At the end of this period, disgorgement is carried out and the "liqueur d'expedition" is added, consisting only of the base wine of the year, without the addition of sugar.

Champagne Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru "L'Amateur" Extra Brut presents itself to the eye with an intense, brilliant straw yellow color and a fine and persistent perlage. The aromatic bouquet is full of intense aromas of yellow fruit and citrus fruits, such as apple and lemon, accompanied by delicate floral notes of white flowers and subtle hints of toffee. In the mouth it is a delicate, ample, straight wine characterized by a splendid freshness and mineral notes, which give a pleasant verticality to the sip and increase its drinkability. This extraordinary Champagne from the David Léclapart winery is a wine of great personality, expressive and precise, which aims to achieve maximum purity.
