Denomination : Friuli Colli Orientali PDO

Vintage : 2019

Alcohol : 13.5%

Region : Friuli Venezia Giulia (Italy)

Format : 0.75 l

Grapes : Friulano, Ribolla Gialla

VINIFICATION Friulano and Ribolla Gialla are the two native Friulian white vines par excellence. The whole grapes, harvested together, are subjected to cryomaceration at 4 ° C for about 36 hours and then softly pressed. The must thus obtained is statically cold decanted and subsequently added with a fermentation foot previously prepared (3-4 days before) with the best selected grapes of the same vine. It is then subjected to slow fermentation and aging "sur lies" at a controlled temperature with frequent batonnage in large Slavonian oak barrels (30 hl). Only after a final right period of rest and refinement in the bottle will it be put to the consumer's judgment.

SENSORY NOTES Bright straw yellow, with elegant greenish reflections. Wine of great texture, with a refined and elegant scent of small pastries, vanilla and acacia flowers, mixed with lively and fresh notes of fruit, white flowers. On the palate it enters delicate and full, but agile and savory at the same time. It is a wine with a great personality that in its long finish recalls the typical characteristics of its original vines: the light almond of the Friulano and the fresh sensations of the Ribolla. PAIRINGS Excellent wine for the whole meal: as an aperitif or paired with first courses based on mushrooms or fish; also ideal with molluscs, crustaceans and baked fish.
