Icon par excellence of Italian bubbles, Giulio Ferrari is a champion capable of winning the race against time. It is a Trentodoc obtained from the best Chardonnay grapes from the Lunelli family vineyards on the slopes of the mountains that surround Trento, up to 600 meters above sea level. Refines on the lees for over 10 years acquiring great complexity but maintaining at the same time balance, freshness and elegance. It is consecrated by an uninterrupted succession of awards and recognitions in Italy, where it has won the Gambero Rosso "Three glasses" no less than 24 times, and abroad, where it has obtained the highest scores from the most authoritative sector magazines including 98/100 from Decanter and 97/100 from Wine Advocate. Vintage 2009 The winter was particularly harsh and characterized by abundant rainfall. However, the delay in starting the growing season was immediately made up for thanks to a very hot spring which brought the development of the vines back to the average values already during flowering and fruit setting. The good temperature ranges during the summer, with temperatures even above the seasonal averages, led to a harvest of grapes that were perfectly healthy and rich from an aromatic point of view. Tasting notes The appearance in the glass shows golden reflections and a perlage of great persistence and refinement. The olfactory debut is intense and immediately recalls floral notes of jasmine, but also of quince, blonde orange and gingerbread. Tasting does nothing but confirm the great richness that the perfumes let glimpse. The sip is creamy but vibrant at the same time, made endless by a pleasant iodized momentum. The closure returns to notes of delicate spices and exotic fruit which lengthen the persistence and once again underline its extraordinary nobility.
