Langhe DOC Riesling "Ranera" 2022 – Poderi Colla

The Riesling "Ranera" comes from a small plot planted in 1987 in Cascine Drago, Alba, when Riesling Renano was still a rarity in Piedmont. Today, this elegant and long-lived white consistently and finely expresses the potential of the grape variety in the Langhe terroir.

In its first year, it offers a lively freshness, with citrus and floral notes. Over time, it develops the typical complexity of Riesling Renano, maintaining a vibrant acidity that supports its evolution and ability to age gracefully.

With a straw yellow color and greenish reflections, the "Ranera" stands out on the nose with refined aromas of mountain flowers, citrus, and a distinct minerality. On the palate, it is taut and savory, with an agile yet full structure, great balance between acidity and volume, and a long and persistent finish.

Vinified in steel and aged on its fine lees, without malolactic fermentation, this Riesling is ideal as an aperitif or paired with seafood appetizers and light dishes.

Serving temperature: 9-11°C in a tulip glass.
