Alta Langa DOCG Extra Brut Millesimato 2020 – Marcalberto
Piedmontese Elegance in a Signature Metodo Classico
Marcalberto's Alta Langa Extra Brut Millesimato 2020 is a Metodo Classico of extraordinary finesse, born in the heart of the Langhe, a land renowned for great wines and capable of surprising even with high-class sparkling wines.
A blend of Pinot Noir (60%) and Chardonnay (40%), cultivated on the hills of Santo Stefano Belbo and Calosso, at 250-320 m above sea level, on calcareous marl soils, this sparkling wine is born from careful viticulture and controlled yields, which enhance the aromatic concentration of the grapes.
Fermentation takes place in used wood barrels with weekly bâtonnage for 7 months, without clarification or filtration. After bottling, the wine rests for at least 42 months on the lees, according to the Metodo Classico, acquiring complexity and depth.
Visually, it presents a bright golden yellow, with a fine and persistent perlage.
The bouquet is rich and layered, with notes of yellow fruit, citrus zest, dried fruit, honey, crusty bread, toasted hints, and light spices.
On the palate, it is soft, ample, and structured, supported by a lively freshness and a long aromatic persistence.
Ideal for refined fish dishes, shellfish, aged cheeses, and also as an all-meal wine for those seeking a sparkling wine with character.
An Alta Langa for true connoisseurs, reflecting elegance, terroir, and vision.
