Alta Langa DOCG Extra Brut “Pietro Colla” 2021 – Poderi Colla

Elegance, depth, and character: the Alta Langa Extra Brut “Pietro Colla” 2021 is born from a courageous intuition and from Pinot Noir (90%) and Nebbiolo (10%) grapes, two varieties with noble DNA, better known for great aging reds than for sparkling wines. It is precisely this original choice that makes this Metodo Classico of rare personality unique.

The harvest takes place at full technological ripeness, following Beppe Colla's teaching: to make a good wine, ripe grapes are needed. A decision that favors balance between acidity and structure, going beyond the classic search for freshness alone. Secondary fermentation takes place in the bottle, with a minimum aging of 24 months on the lees. No added liqueur d'expédition: just wine and time.

The bouquet is very fine, rich and persistent, with hints of bread crust, white flowers and aromatic herbs. On the palate it is dry, vinous, with an important yet harmonious structure, where the generous body softens the acidity and offers an elegant and deep sip.

Served at 8-10°C, it is perfect as an aperitif but gives its best throughout the meal, elegantly accompanying seafood, white meats, and refined dishes.
