Produced by the renowned Louis Jadot winery, active since 1859 in the heart of Burgundy, this Côtes de Beaune-Villages represents a harmonious synthesis of the character of the southern villages of the Côte de Beaune. The Pinot Noir grapes come from selected plots in Chorey-lès-Beaune, Ladoix-Serrigny, Maranges, and Santenay, terroirs known for elegance and structure. After manual harvesting and rigorous selection, the must ferments in open vats for 3-4 weeks, then ages for about 18 months in oak barrels, one-third of which are new, to develop complexity without masking the fruit. On the nose, it opens with hints of ripe cherry, sweet spices, and light woody notes. On the palate, it is balanced, full, and round, with soft tannins and a persistent finish that recalls the typical finesse of Burgundian Pinot Noir. Excellent with white meats, light roasts, poultry, mushrooms, and medium-aged cheeses.
An elegant and versatile red, perfect for discovering the charm of the Côte de Beaune through the unmistakable style of Louis Jadot.
