Barbera del Monferrato DOC “Aurora” 2024 – Alvio Pestarino

"Aurora" is made from Barbera grapes sourced from a single historic vineyard, over 60 years old. The age of the vines naturally results in limited yields, around 45–50 quintals per hectare, promoting greater concentration and fruit quality.

Vinification involves temperature-controlled fermentation with a maceration of at least 6 days. Subsequently, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in large French oak barrels, where it ages for at least 8 months. This process achieves a harmonious balance of structure, acidity, and tannic components.

The result is a full-bodied, balanced wine with a pleasant lingering finish, versatile enough to accompany an entire meal. It pairs best with meat dishes and aged cheeses.
