Barolo DOCG “Campè” 2019 – La Spinetta

A Nebbiolo of great expression and character, the 2019 “Campè” comes from the Campè cru in Grinzane Cavour, from vineyards located at 280 m altitude on alluvial clay-limestone soils, with south exposure.

Vinification involves active maceration for about 14 days in temperature-controlled tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels (about 30% new, the rest second-passage), and aging in wood for about 24 months before bottling.

In the glass, it presents a pale, elegant, and luminous ruby red color. The aroma opens with notes of blackcurrant jam, white pepper, and caramel. On the palate, it is powerful, structured, with refined notes of peppermint and incense; the finish is long, intense, and mineral, with rich and perfectly integrated tannins.
