This luminous expression of Chardonnay transforms the carefully selected twenty-five / thirty crus into an enveloping experience of citrus and floral notes with a round, silky and pleasant to drink freshness.
The emblem of Ruinart taste.
Chardonnay represents the true soul of Ruinart. The grapes, mainly grown in the terroirs of the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims, are the heart of our Cuvées
Manual harvest
Color
The pale golden yellow of this wine is enriched with almond green reflections and jade nuances.
Nose
On the first nose, intense aromas of fresh fruit emerge: ripe lemons, juicy pears or freshly picked peaches. The second nose reveals a hint of magnolia, more floral and elegant, combined with a spicy note of ginger and pink berries.
Palate
A unique and harmonious texture envelops the palate, between tension and roundness. The lively freshness of ripe citrus and exotic fruits sublimates the texture. The final mineral touch is persistent and delicate.
The culinary pairings recommended by the Chef de Caves:
- raw dishes with contrasting fruity, fresh or savory flavours
- marinades made with citrus juices and fresh aromatic herbs
- fresh fruit carpaccio with spicy notes
On the other hand, it would be better to avoid:
- overly smoky notes, overly salty flavors
- excessively bitter tastes or sulfurous notes (cooked cabbage or egg, raw garlic)
- aged cheeses
- very strong hot spices (chili, curry, cumin, cinnamon, sesame oil)
- aromatic herbs or strong seasonings (sage, thyme, wine vinegar)
