Colline Savonesi IGT Bianco "Matetta" 2024 – Terrazze Singhie
“Matetta” is the most playful and free spirit of Terrazze Singhie, an artisanal Ligurian white wine born from bold and instinctive winemaking. The 2024 vintage is the result of the encounter between Vermentino (70%) and Lumassina (30%), cultivated on Ligurian terraces surrounded by woods and Mediterranean scrub.
Vermentino is made with carbonic fermentation, a technique that gives the wine an explosive freshness and lively fruity notes. Lumassina, on the other hand, macerates for 15 days on the skins, then ages partly in oak barrels and partly in demijohns, where time and air shape its complexity and depth.
Spontaneously fermented with indigenous yeasts, unfiltered and unfined, “Matetta” is a sincere, vibrant wine with very limited production, designed for those who love the purest and most direct expressions of artisanal wine.
In the glass, it presents a hazy golden yellow color. The nose offers aromas of fresh citrus, quince, aromatic herbs, and a floral and saline touch. In the mouth, it is lively and saline, with an agile but not trivial drinkability, where substance and freshness chase each other to a mineral and dry finish.
“Matetta” is the perfect wine for those thirsty for authentic, spontaneous, straightforward Liguria.
Recommended pairings: fried fish, farinata, herb-based first courses, fresh cheeses, Ligurian savory pies.
