An unconventional Sancerre, surprising, moving, and redefining the identity of Sauvignon Blanc.
"Akmèniné", an artisanal cuvée by Sébastien Riffault, comes from 3 hectares cultivated biodynamically in the municipality of Verdigny, on clay-limestone soils. The vines are over 30 years old, yields are very low (around 35 hl/ha), and harvesting is late and manual.

The vinification involves skin maceration, spontaneous fermentation in barriques, aging on lees for 12 months, without fining or filtration. No shortcuts, no compromises.

The result? A multifaceted and three-dimensional white, opening with notes of ripe apricot, flint, and lime, then expanding into a rich, saline, smoky, and persistent sip.
A sensory and emotional experience, light-years away from stereotypical Sancerres.
