Explore the distinctive character of Frank Cornelissen's Etna Rosso PDO Munjebel CD, coming from the renowned Etna area in the northern valley. This extraordinary wine has roots in the municipality of Randazzo, on the border with Castiglione di Sicilia. The grapes grow in the vineyard of the Calderara district below, facing north and located at an altitude of 610 meters above sea level. Here, the dominant grape variety is 100% Nerello Mascalese, sourced from vines with an average age of over 40 years.

Winemaking is a true work of art: the grapes are destemmed and lightly pressed. Fermentation begins thanks to a "pied-de-cuve" of indigenous yeasts, followed by contact on the skins which lasts about 60 days. Maturation takes place in neutral fiberglass tanks of 1200 to 2,500 liters for 18 months, followed by a further 18 months in the bottle. Without fining, the wine is filtered before bottling with 5 micron PP cartridges.

ETNA ROSSO DOP MUNJEBEL CD is a wine that expresses itself with authenticity, the sulfur levels can vary from 15 to 50 mg/l, based on the quality of the grapes and the stability of the wine. This unique jewel is produced in limited quantities, with an annual production of only 1200 bottles since its first vintage in 2018. To best enjoy this oenological masterpiece, the recommended glass is the Zalto Burgundy, offering an extraordinary sensorial experience.
