SENSORY DESCRIPTION
In this particularly hot year, Pepe's skilled hand has given life to one of his masterpieces. Garnet red in colour, this wine offers the nose an aromatic profile of exceptional prestige: it opens with floral notes that flow into fruity hints in alcohol and highly fascinating balsamic accents. In the mouth, it is overwhelming for its composure, enveloping and reactive, with a soft and pleasant tannin. A delicate splash of acidity enriches it, leading to a finish with an extraordinary flavor.

FOOD PAIRINGS
Emidio Pepe's Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, deep and elegant, finds its perfect company in meat second courses, in particular those based on lamb. It goes beautifully with the classic Abruzzo kebabs.

MONTEPULCIANO D'ABRUZZO DOC 2003 - EMIDIO PEPE: OUR APPRECIATION
Today, without the possibility of dispute, we can affirm that Montepulciano is the "sovereign" among the vines of Abruzzo. However, this has not always been the case. In the past, this vine produced a wine often considered suitable only for immediate consumption, not very prone to aging. It is above all thanks to the tireless commitment of Emidio Pepe's cellar that these preconceptions have been completely overcome. This required time and energy, both to allow the wine to mature slowly in the cellar and to fully discover all its latent potential. What comes out today from the Torano Nuovo cellars is a structured red wine, characterized by a natural elegance that lasts over time. It is a balanced wine, with always soft and round tannins, which stands out for its length and persistence. It is, quite simply, an unforgettable wine.
