Domaine de la Cras's Bourgogne Chardonnay 2023 is a white wine that embodies the elegance and purity of Burgundy Chardonnay, produced with a natural philosophy that respects the terroir.
Tasting Notes:
The nose reveals delicate and fruity fragrances, reminiscent of white flowers and acacia honey. On the palate, nuances of ripe pear and green apple stand out, accompanied by a pleasant freshness and tension. The balance between softness and lively acidity makes this Chardonnay refined and versatile. It has excellent aging potential and can be stored in the cellar for 2-5 years, developing further complexity.
The Producer
Domaine de la Cras spans 3 hectares located on the hills near Dijon. Marc Soyard, in charge of management, gained his experience at the renowned Domaine Bizot in Vosne-Romanée. His winemaking philosophy is based on an organic and biodynamic approach, without official certifications, but with deep respect for nature. Manual harvesting ensures the quality of the grapes, while fermentation with indigenous yeasts and minimal use of sulfur ensure an authentic profile. Maturation takes place in oak barrels (new and used) for 15-18 months, giving the wine an elegant structure and unique complexity.
Food Pairings
Ideal with fish dishes, shellfish, white meats, and soft cheeses such as Brie or Camembert. Perfect for accompanying a refined dinner or a special occasion.
