The elegant Champagne "La Garenne" from Domaine Lagille is a Blanc de Noirs obtained exclusively from the Meunier grape variety, whose grapes come from Lieu-Dit La Garenne, a prized fifty-year-old vineyard kissed by the western sun in the suggestive terroir of the Treslon village, located in the Vallée de l'Ardre. The 2020 harvest, followed by meticulous vinification in fût de chêne and aging on the lees for at least 3 years, gave life to an opulent expression of Champagne. Without any final dosage, the result is a Brut Nature with a total absence of residual sugars (0 g/l).

CHAMPAGNE LAGILLE
The noble Lagille family, custodians of the vineyard since the 17th century, has had roots firmly planted in Treslon, in the heart of the Vallée de l'Ardre, since 1818. Maud and Vincent, the latest generation of passionate winemakers, have taken the reins of Domaine Lagille by Bernard and Marie, carrying on a long and proud tradition. Driven by clear visions and far-sighted perspectives, their goal was to create wines that reflect the territory, allowing the land to narrate the link between wine, terroir and family heritage in an engaging way. The organic conversion started in 2019 is just one step towards sustainability, while the HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) certification underlines the Domaine's commitment to the environment. With 7.20 hectares of vineyards, of which 55% dedicated to Meunier, 30% to Chardonnay and 15% to Pinot Noir, the production of approximately 50,000 bottles reflects the dedication to quality. Meunier is cultivated with the "cordon royat" pruning system, a practice usually reserved for the prestigious Grand Cru vineyards of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, guaranteeing reduced yields for greater concentration and quality. The parcel vinification, the minimum dosages and the skilful use of wood contribute to giving the Lagille Champagnes a unique personality, revealing all the richness and complexity of the calcareous clay soil of the Montagne de Reims.
