Langhe Nebbiolo DOC 2024 – Piero Benevelli

Piero Benevelli's 2024 Langhe Nebbiolo is a wine that authentically interprets the soul of the iconic grape variety of the Langhe. Produced from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, cultivated in the hillside vineyards of the municipality of Monforte d’Alba, this wine originates from a suitable terroir, a stone's throw from the most renowned Barolo areas. The 2024 vintage stands out for an excellent balance between structure, elegance, and freshness, with an alcohol content of 14.5% that emphasizes the phenolic maturity of the grapes.

Visually, it presents a beautiful ruby red with garnet hues. On the nose, it opens with typical notes of rose, violet, and small red fruits, enriched by spicy nuances and slight earthy hints. On the palate, it is juicy, fine, and balanced: the tannins are present but well integrated, the freshness gives impetus, and the finish is long and mineral, with a clear territorial imprint.

A "young" Nebbiolo, yet far from simple, capable of expressing the nobility of the grape variety even outside the most famous appellations. Excellent when paired with cured meats, pasta dishes with ragù, light roasts, poultry, and aged cheeses.

The producer: Piero Benevelli

Piero Benevelli is a small artisan producer based in Monforte d’Alba, in the heart of the Langhe. His family-run winery cultivates about 8 hectares of vineyards, with meticulous attention to vineyard work and respect for the territory. Benevelli's wines are sincere, territorial, and unembellished: pure expressions of Nebbiolo and other native Piedmontese grape varieties. Tradition, passion, and identity are the cornerstones of his work, which continues today thanks to the commitment of his son Massimo, guardian of the vineyards and family knowledge.
