Langhe Nebbiolo – Elio Sandri

Tradition, freshness and terroir of the Monforte hill

This Langhe Nebbiolo is a wine born with respect and patience: from vines over 30 years old located on the eastern slope of the hill, near a forest that influences its microclimate, in the historic Cascina Disa of Elio Sandri, in Perno di Monforte d'Alba.

Harvesting is manual, the grapes are selected and vinified in a rigorously traditional way: spontaneous fermentation in concrete tanks, aging for at least 8 months in large oak barrels, without the use of selected yeasts or invasive techniques.

About 9000 bottles are produced each year, each capable of expressing the freshness and soul of Nebbiolo from the Langhe. On the nose, it opens with aromas of cherry, rose, undergrowth herbs and delicate spices. On the palate, it is slender, vibrant, with well-integrated tannins and a clean, savoury finish.

A lively, elegant, exciting wine, like everything that bears the signature of Elio Sandri.

Perfect with Piedmontese dishes, roasted meats, risottos or even on its own, to enjoy the pure essence of Nebbiolo.
