Nikka Taketsuru No Age Vatted Malt is the no age statement version of the historic Nikka blend from the two distilleries, Yoichie and Mitagikyo. On the label you will still find the definition "pure malt", now out of use in Scottish whiskey terminology but still used in Japan: it means "pure malt", no other malt apart from barley is used in this recipe.
Try it in a "reinforced" Manhattan and in an Old Fashioned. But smoothly closes a good Japanese dinner worthily.
