Vignamare – Riviera Ligure di Ponente Pigato DOC

The first great age-worthy white wine from Liguria

Vignamare is Cantina Lupi's iconic white wine, born from the visionary intuition of Tommaso Lupi who, as early as the 1960s, decided to vinify his Pigato in a new, unconventional way, transforming it into a white wine capable of aging over time.

Produced from Pigato grapes grown on red clay soils, with a south-west exposure and trained using Guyot and Ligurian alberello systems, Vignamare is the result of an early harvest (by the first half of September) and careful, modern winemaking:
70% in steel, 30% in wood, with 15 days of fermentation and 24 months of aging sur lies, followed by 6 months in bottle.

An intense, long-lived white with a unique profile.

Color: bright golden yellow

Aroma: complex and evolved, with notes of ripe peach, Mediterranean scrub, hydrocarbons, and saline hints

Taste: soft, deep and enveloping, with a significant structure, well-integrated freshness and a long, savory finish
