Roero Arneis 2024 – Alberto Oggero

A wine that doesn't conform, but asserts itself. Alberto Oggero's Roero Arneis is a unique voice, a statement of intent that renews the identity of the white grape variety symbolic of Roero. Alberto calls it "Roero Bianco" to emphasize its artisanal vocation and strong territorial connection, preferring to wait for the right time to let the wine speak with authenticity and naturalness.

Cultivated on just over 4 hectares scattered among the historic vineyards of Le Anime and Le Coste, in Santo Stefano Roero, on sandy and poor soils, Oggero's Arneis is vinified with spontaneous fermentation and minimal intervention in the cellar. Part of the grapes macerates on the skins until fermentation begins, then the wine rests in concrete, is neither filtered nor clarified, and arrives in the bottle in full respect of its integrity.

In the glass, it presents a bright, slightly hazy straw yellow. The nose is a lively and harmonious succession of white flowers, chamomile, wild mint, candied apricot, and saline nuances. In the mouth, it is energetic, juicy, animated by a savory vein that makes it vibrant and gastronomic, with a long and bold finish.

An Arneis that evolves over time, challenges stereotypes, and year after year, reveals the deepest truth of Roero.
