The Cantina Monsignore is located in Vicoforte, in the heart of the Langhe Monregalesi, a fairytale border Langa situated at an average altitude of 600 meters above sea level.

Since 1916, the Blengini family has been the soul of this ancient residence built by the Bishop of Mondovì. Today, Giuseppe and his wife Roberta are writing a new chapter in history by creating a revolutionary project aimed at enhancing a territory still waiting to be discovered.
Giuseppe Blengini is a successful architect and today divides his time between Milan, Alba, and Vicoforte. In 2007, he met Roberta, whose surname is Ceretto, heiress to one of the most historic Barolo producing wineries.
The altitude, significant temperature fluctuations, the wind coming from the sea, and the natural protection of the mountains led Roberta and Giuseppe to believe in their project.
In 2014, they decided to bet on Alta Langa sparkling wines with a bohemian-inspired intuition to save agriculture, enhancing a terroir very different from the nearby Langa. It is a true journey between past, present, and a promising future. An itinerary undertaken by enlisting various travel companions who together concerted a work plan to manage the 44 hectares of land, 11 of which are vineyards. The result led to the choice of focusing on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay for a first production released with the 2017 vintage. The Alta Langa Monsignore is an extra brut classic method equally composed of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
