Barbaresco "Bordini" DOCG 2022 – La Spinetta

A refined expression of Nebbiolo from one of its most renowned crus, the Barbaresco “Bordini” 2022 originates from the hills of Neive, from vineyards facing south-east and planted on marly and calcareous soils, at an altitude of 240 meters. A great territorial red, combining depth and elegance with a contemporary vision.

The grapes, hand-picked between early and mid-October, are vinified naturally, without filtration or fining. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in roto-fermenters at a controlled temperature, followed by malolactic fermentation in second-passage barriques. The wine ages for approximately 20 months in French oak and rests for an additional 3 months in steel before bottling.

Visually, it presents a brilliant ruby color. The nose is complex and layered: fresh cherries, withered violets, ripe plums, sweet spices (cinnamon, clove) and a balsamic and mentholated undertone. In the mouth, it is ample, structured and deep, with perfectly integrated velvety tannins, an elegant saline vein and a long finish, fading into exotic notes of ginger and hibiscus.

A three-dimensional Nebbiolo, intense yet measured, capable of elegantly conveying the grandeur of Barbaresco from Neive.
