The Barbaresco “Matthias” is Giuseppe Caviola's tribute to his firstborn son, Mattia. This label represents a new challenge for the winery, which enters the Barbaresco denomination for the first time.

The Nebbiolo grapes come from two medium-slope hills located in Neive, cultivated according to organic farming principles. The harvest takes place between the first and second week of October. Fermentation occurs over 15 days in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature, followed by post-fermentative maceration in contact with the skins for 10-15 days. Aging takes place in large oak barrels for 18 months.

Visually, it presents with a garnet red color. On the nose, fresh notes of sweet macerated red fruits emerge, accompanied by light hints of rose. On the palate, it is balanced and juicy, with a balsamic finish.

Ideal in combination with lamb, red meats and game dishes.
