Barbera d’Alba DOC 2024 – G.D. Vajra

Vibrant, fragrant, and deeply expressive: the Barbera d’Alba 2024 by G.D. Vajra is a hymn to the vitality of the grape and the richness of the Langhe terroir. Made from grapes grown in estate vineyards, located on soils of extraordinary variety and managed according to organic farming principles, this Barbera originates from a heroic harvest, capable of transforming the challenges of the vintage into pure energy in the glass.

The slow and respectful winemaking process, with delicate macerations and a partial submerged cap for almost a month, enhances the raw material and sculpts its aromatic profile. A three-month aging in steel preserves its varietal freshness intact.

Visually, it presents an intense, brilliant purple. The nose is an explosion of violet, fresh blackberry, black cherry, lavender, spices, and a delightful touch of marzipan. The sip is juicy and crisp, animated by elegant freshness and a bouquet that evolves to strawberry, plum, blackcurrant, and small wild berries, with a slight herbaceous vein adding depth.
