A Barbera of distinction, conveying a precise idea of wine: deep, complex, and sincere.
The Barbera d'Alba Superiore 2022 comes from old vines planted in the 1930s, in the historic hamlet of Perno in Monforte d’Alba, where Elio Sandri decided to replace Nebbiolo with Barbera, creating a red of substance and personality, yet with a refined and elegant style.

The vinification is strictly traditional: spontaneous fermentation in concrete tanks, aging for 8 months in large Slavonian oak barrels, and subsequent bottle resting for another 6 months. No unnecessary intervention, no shortcuts. Just time, healthy grapes, and respectful work.

In the glass, it presents with deep notes of dark fruit, plum, undergrowth, and spices, while on the palate it is ample, structured, yet always measured, with a balance that makes it versatile for food pairings: perfect with grilled meats, pasta dishes with meat, cured meats, and aged cheeses.

A terroir wine, capable of evolving over time and expressing the most authentic essence of the Langhe.
