Elio Sandri's Barolo Riserva “Perno” 2018 is a wine born from a consistent and profound vision of the Langhe tradition.
Produced using only Nebbiolo grapes cultivated in the Perno hamlet of Monforte d'Alba, it ferments spontaneously in concrete tanks with indigenous yeasts and ages for over 3 years in large oak barrels, following the slow and respectful times of the past.

The result is a powerful, layered, and engaging Barolo, combining substance and tension, but never sacrificing elegance, balance, and drinkability. The 2018 vintage expresses itself with particular harmony, offering a wine that is already satisfying but capable of evolving for decades.

In the glass, notes of ripe red fruits, sweet spices, tobacco, liquorice, and medicinal herbs are perceived, with a deep, enveloping, and precise sip, supported by velvety tannins and a savoury freshness.
