"Terriscope" Extra Brut Champagne 2016 – Dehours & Fils
A pure Pinot Meunier that defies time. Made exclusively from Pinot Meunier grapes from Mareuil-Le-Port, in the Vallée de la Marne, Dehours & Fils' Terriscope 2016 is an Extra Brut Champagne of extraordinary finesse and depth. After a long aging of at least 60 months on the lees, it presents itself as mature, complex, yet surprisingly fresh. In the glass, it shines with a bright straw yellow color, with a fine and persistent perlage. The bouquet is elegant and intricate: dried fruit, light floral notes of rose, balsamic hints of eucalyptus. On the palate, it conquers with its breadth and balance, with incisive freshness and a structure that promises a long life in the bottle. Perfect with raw fish appetizers, shellfish, and crustaceans, but also with delicate first courses such as spaghetti with mussels or orecchiette with seafood. Ready to drink, it can evolve gracefully for over 8 years. A Champagne for connoisseurs, telling the noblest and longest-lived face of Meunier.
