Idda Etna Rosso DOP
The vibrant intensity of the volcano

Born on the southwestern slopes of Etna, in Biancavilla, at an altitude of 700-800 meters, Idda Etna Rosso DOP is the authentic fruit of a unique land, where the force of nature shapes wines of extraordinary personality.

Composed mainly of Nerello Mascalese, with a small part of Nerello Cappuccio, this red captivates with its refined complexity. Fermentation and maceration take place for about three weeks, partly in wood and partly in concrete, followed by a long aging of 24 months in the same materials, to preserve its purest identity.

In the glass, it presents sweet hints of marzipan, black cherry and mulberry, which intertwine with sulfurous and herbaceous notes, in a direct reference to its volcanic origin. On the palate, it reveals a medium structure, supported by a lively acidity and a mineral and persistent finish, enriched by intriguing nuances of flint.

Idda — "She" in Sicilian dialect, as the islanders respectfully and affectionately call the volcano — is an authentic tribute to the power and grace of Etna.
