Rosso di Montalcino DOC – Santa Maria (Marino Colleoni)

Santa Maria's Rosso di Montalcino, produced by Marino Colleoni, is born from a deeply artisanal and natural approach, where respect for the territory is central. The grapes come from vineyards located on the hills of Montalcino, cultivated according to organic principles and with increasing attention to the spontaneous balance of the ecosystem.

Made from selected Sangiovese grapes, often derived from the same rigorous selection intended for Brunello, this wine expresses a more immediate yet extremely authentic version of the territory. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with indigenous yeasts and maceration on the skins, followed by aging in large oak barrels that preserve its finesse and expressive purity.

In the glass, it presents a bright ruby red color. The nose reveals aromas of fresh cherry, wild berries, and light spicy and undergrowth notes. The palate is elegant, fresh, and savory, with mature and well-integrated tannins and a long, dynamic persistence that invites another taste.

It is a Rosso di Montalcino that combines drinkability and depth, capable of recalling a young Brunello in terms of structure and complexity, while maintaining great immediacy. Perfect with meat dishes, traditional Tuscan first courses, and cured meats, but also ideal for high-level daily consumption.
