Vintage: NV

Alcohol: 12.5%

Region: Lombardy (Italy)

Format: 0.75 l

Grapes: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc

A fragrant rosé where the delicate freshness of Chardonnay is completed with the fruity richness of Pinot Noir and the soft roundness of Pinot Blanc. The softly pressed grapes develop a harmonious accord in the more than 24 months of maturation on the lees. Its powder pink color with golden hues reveals notes of freshly picked currants and cherries, crunchy apricots and strawberries, peony petals and blood orange, with a delicate nuance of fresh almond and fine sugar. The sip is lively and sunny, dynamic in the juicy freshness of pomegranate and red apple, with a subtle and vital flavor.

GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION OF THE GRAPES: In our vineyards with East - South / East exposure.

SOIL TYPE: Flat and internal undulations of the moraine, of medium fertility, loose, with medium depth skeleton.

TRAINING SYSTEM: Guyot.

YIELD PER HECTARE: 80 quintals of grapes per hectare = 52 hectoliters per hectare.

HARVEST: Manual harvest in crates between the last ten days of August and the first week of September.

VINIFICATION: In rosé for the Pinot Nero grapes, with skin maceration for a few hours to give the characteristic pink color to the Cuvée. Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco are vinified in the traditional way, in a pneumatic press with separation of the first and second pressing. Fermentation and subsequent aging of about 7 months take place partly in temperature-controlled steel tanks and partly in small oak barrels where the malolactic fermentation also takes place.

MATURATION AND AGING: The stacked bottles remain at least 24 months in the rooms of our cellars before the "remuage". Subsequently opened and dosed "Brut" they receive the mushroom cap and the cage. Finally, at least two months of further refinement is necessary before placing this Franciacorta on the market. PRODUCED FOR THE FIRST TIME IN: 2006.
